All CMC Home Inspections Include:

    • Exterior - An Inspection of the conditions of the house from the outside. This includes an inspection of:
      • Visible, accessible portions of your Foundation
      • Wall surfacing materials - composition and condition
      • Decks, Porches and Balconies
      • Roof surfacing materials - composition and condition
      • Skylights and other roof penetrations
      • Windows, doors and trim
    • Interior - An Inspection of the conditions of each room area of the home; bedrooms, hallways, living room, dining room, den, family room, laundry and utility rooms, kitchen, bathrooms, attic and basement. This includes an inspection of the:
      • Walls and wall finishes
      • Ceilings and ceiling finishes
      • Floors, floor finishes and floor coverings
      • Doors, windows and passages
      • Provisions for heating and A/C
      • Provisions for storage
      • Fire detection equipment
      • Attic
      • Storage spaces
      • We also inspect for lead and asbestos containing material
    • Mechanical Systems - An inspection of the plumbing, heating and electrical systems. This includes an inspection of:
      • Main service distribution panel
      • Branch Circuits
      • Main Water Service Entry
      • Drain, waste and vent piping
      • Domestic Water Heaters
      • Main Waste System
      • Thermostatic Controls - Heat and A/C
      • Heating Systems - Warm Air, Hot Water, Steam, Heat Pumps
      • A/C Systems
    • Structure - The structural integrity of the house is inspected and evaluated.
      This includes an inspection of:
      • Foundation Area - Concrete, Masonry, Pilings, Piers, Posts, etc.
      • Load Bearing Components - Girders and Columns
      • Bearing Wall Systems - Wood, Masonry, Concrete and Steel
    • Energy Audit - Visible, accessible levels of insulation are inspected and evaluated
    • Termite Inspection - An inspection for the presence of termites is performed
A comprehensive verbal report is provided throughout the course of the inspection and a narrative written report is made available to the prospective home owner within 72 hours of completion of the field inspection.
